Education & Professional experience
Shaonong Dang, male, born in November 1971, PhD. In 2001, I received a master's degree in epidemiology from the Xi'an Jiao Tong University medical school and a PhD in public nutrition from the Graduate School of nutrition in The University of Tokushima, Japan, in 2005, and a visiting scholar in The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK from 2010 to 2011. I am associated Professor in Department of epidemiology and health statistics, School of public health, Xi'an Jiao Tong University.
Teaching, Research and Publications
I am mainly engaged in biological statistics teaching and related research, including research and design, field data collection, field work management and data processing and analysis, as well as the teaching and research of bio-statistical methods. Also I am served as member of the Chinese Society for preventive medicine, member of the Shaanxi Medical Association, the Secretary, the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University (Medical Edition), the Chinese Journal of Epidemiology, the Chinese Journal of Skin and STD and Scientific Reports . I am a professional peer reviewer for medical and public health journals. I am a PI or main participant of more than ten scientific research projects from the National Natural Science Fund, National Science and technology support key projects, the United Nations Children's fund, and the China Medical Board, United States and the grants at the provincial level and medical industry. I won the first prize of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Award (ranked second) in 2009. More than 90 academic papers have been published in the professional journals.
