History of Education and Employment
Xingmin Shi, male, born on Jan. 21th, 1974, is an associate professor of School of Public Health, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He obtainedthe Doctoral Degree ofImmunology from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2008, and has been a doctoral supervisor since 2018. Presently, he serves as the director of the Department of Health Toxicology and Inspection, School of Public Health, Medical Science Center, Xi’an Jiaotong University. As a review expert of National Natural Science Fund of China,he is also a reviewer of several international periodicals,including Environmental Science & Technology, Plasma Science and Technology, IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, and so on. He is a member of the Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society, member of Chinese Society of Toxicology, member of the Chinese Society of Immunology, as well as member of the Chinese Nutrition Society.
Teaching
He mainly takes on the teaching tasks of two undergraduate and seven-year system courses, "health microbiology" and "Basis of toxicology", to students majoring in preventive medicine, a graduate course "molecular biology of medical cells", and a "PBL" course for the Hou Zonglian MedicalExperimental Class.
Scientific research
He has presided over 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation, 1 project of ShaanxiProvince Science and Technology Program, 1 project of Xi’anTechnology Innovation Supporting Program, 2 Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and 1 projects of Guanghua Medical Innovation Funds of Xi'an Jiaotong University. At the same time, He has participated in 8 scientific projects, including China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists, China National Key Research and Development Plan, and Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation.
Awards and Publications
In 2015, he was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Higher Schools and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Province. He has authored over 60 journal articles, including 25 SCI papers.
